Contacting ITP

The ITP Laboratory conducts research in the area of interphase heat, mass and momenutm transport. Interfaces studied include vapor-liquid, liquid-solid and vapor-solid. The laboratory builds research hardware anc conducts extensive experimental programs using digital data collection of pertinent properties (including temperature, pressure and flow) and visualization using digital imagery. Examples of projects include the measurement of chelating ion-exchange uptake of dilute solutes in seawater; transient internal pressure distribution in an operating heat pipe; and zero-gravity, two-phase flow phenomena in the NASA KC-135, and more recently is the C9-B aircraft. Students interested in working at ITP should contact Cable Kurwitz, Senior Research Engineer, at kurwitz@tamu.edu.
